Carole Morden was raised in a log cabin nestled in the Montana Rocky Mountains.   She eagerly anticipated the family’s two weekly trips to town. Sunday for church and Monday to the library.   Her love for reading, particularly fiction took her to worlds far beyond the mountains. She has worked as a retail manager, administrative assistant, engraver, tree farm worker, disc jockey, and hair salon manager all of which created active backdrops for her imagination.

Book Title: Dry Bones

Pastor’s wife, Jamie Storm, goes from baking pies to solving crimes in the fun and fast-paced, debut novel by Carole Morden, Dry Bones. The cozy mystery novel won top honors for fiction in the 2014 Deep River Books Writer’s Contest.

Dry Bones will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Pastor’s wife Jamie Storm is drawn out of the safety of her kitchen and into a world of danger when a dear friend from high school is murdered. Jamie learns she has inherited her friend’s estate, making her the number-one suspect in the murder. With her skill set as a pastor’s wife pressed to the brink, Jamie reunites the members of her high school mystery club to help solve the crime. But as Jamie closes in on the killer, the killer closes in on her. For those who enjoy mysteries with mild thriller elements, Dry Bones is fun … and funny, serving up humor straight from the fishbowl experiences of pastor’s wives.

Dry Bones is Carole Morden’s debut novel in the Jamie Storm Novel series, published by Deep River Books.
