Batt Humphreys is a former network news executive. During 20 years with CBS he managed the coverage events that have shaped our lives over a quarter century and as a reporter covering hurricanes, executions and more murders than he cares to remember. Dead Weight was his first novel. It won the Palmetto Award, two national awards and was the finalist in several others. Affair & Honor is his second novel.

Book Title: Affair & Honor

Affair & Honor is written as an historical novel. It is the second of a genre I’ve written which weaves accurate historical research with fictional characters to extend storylines and plots that support the overall story. In this case writing the story of Jack Kennedy and PT 109 in the context of the times, takes the reader to the place, the horror of war, the passion of youth and weaves the fabric of fate and history. It follows a debut novel entitled Dead Weight, which won an IPPY gold medal, a Benjamin Franklin award, the 2010 winner of the SC Center for the Book award and was a finalist in two other awards categories.
